We want to share our strategy for how we are going to be releasing games in Fortnite for our players.

As many in our community know, in November 2024 we announced that we were starting work in UEFN. It has been a long time, and a lot of learning so it hasn't been easy, but we are now at the point where we feel we can deliver content for players. Now, let's get into what we're working on in the UEFN and how we are going to go about releasing content.

What Is Your Plan?

I will break it down into 3 sections so it's easy to understand.

  1. Experiences - So for starters, experiences are games that may not feature full blown progression systems, storylines or cutscenes etc. One we are currently working on is a Minigame-Collection. A collection of minigames that make a fun party game for friends. Not a full blown game, but more than enough content to serve as an experience.

  2. Content Updates - This applies to both the next category and the previous, we will be adding new content where applicable, if that's new minigames for the collection or other new forms of content in other experiences. For our games (major projects) these will feature the highest amount of new content and will feature content roadmaps.

  3. Games - These act as our "Major Projects" or "Major Releases" they will be less frequent but feature far more content from storylines, progression systems, cutscenes and more. They will have by far the longest development cycle and will be marketed heavier.

Without giving specific dates or expectations, the thinking is something like this: "Release a few Experiences and then drop a fully-fledged Game, and then a few more experiences and then our next game" and so on. We feel this is the best way to let our games breathe, have long development cycles that they require, but also release Experiences like the minigame collection that is still really fun, replayable and something we're happy with. Experiences won't lack our level of quality, but they will not feature nearly as much content as our games, hence the different category we put them in.

We cannot wait to start sharing more on our UEFN work, things are moving really fast now and we're gearing up to take the leap, the patience of our community has been amazing so we really do appreciate it. It has been a bumpy ride getting here but, all-in-all everything worked out for the best. Now, I want to clarify two more things in this article, regarding both what we're working on in UEFN and what our plan is with Halo.

What about the future of Halo with The Forge Falcons?

For now and for the foreseeable future, The Forge Falcons have stepped away entirely from Halo to focus our efforts in UEFN to make our own games.

So what are you making in UEFN and when can we hear more?

For those unaware, we are working on Tactical Exodus, which is an Extraction Shooter built from the ground up in UEFN, it is incredibly ambitious and will be our first major project release in Fortnite. We don't want to share too much on it yet but, if you haven't read our brief post on it, check it out here. But our first content release will (of course) be an Experience, which is as I said above, the minigame collection. So we look forward to sharing more on that in the near future. But that's going to do it for this article, it is the first of many and I just wanted to give an update and let you all know... we are still cooking and cannot wait to share more with you all. Thank you for reading.
